If you have a question that you feel I should answer here please let me know and i will add the question and answer to this section.

Remember when going to view a pup have all your questions ready , write them down and take them with you, to ask the breeder.

A reputable breeder will be very happy to answer any question one may have.

Questions

1.	Where are you based?
	I am situated in the west of Limerick, off the main M21. As the country roads are hard to follow due to poor signage I meet with people on the main M21 so they can follow me! Its much easier and less time consuming!

2.	Do you have both adult boxers/parents so they can be seen?
	Yes Both of the parents will be able to be viewed, and please say hello to the other boxers too as they would only feel less important if ignored! I also ask those who visit my boxers never to make eye contact with/pet/talk to one of the boxer's when they are excited - I demonstrate this and then once all are calm and relaxed greetings can begin! The reason for this is I dont want my boxer's to get confused - I reward a relaxed boxer, never an excited one as it leads to jumping up etc. I also dont want my boxer's to greet people in that way and have trained them to that effect.

3.	How Long have you been breeding Boxer's?.
	I have been breeding boxer's since the year 2000, as i consider the researching process an integral part of the breeding process.

4.	What way does the waiting list work?.
	The waiting list works in the following way and is not changed so one person can have a "pick of the litter" or "prefere's a different pup". I only place a persons name on the list once she/he is aware that there will be a certain number of weeks e.g pregnency 9weeks, puppies stay with us for at least 8-9weeks ( may be more if from a larger litter and if we feel it is necessary) so if one isnt committed to a waiting period then ones name will not be placed on the list. If your name is on the list and you purchase a puppy else where then i simply ask for the common courtesy of being informed of such so that your place on the list is allocated to some one who is willing to wait and can move one place up the list. Your name is then placed on the list which is numbered and dated, you then inform me of gender preference or if not worried about which gender then it is easier, once the puppies are over 6 weeks and vaccinated you come in the order of which the deposits are recieved to pick the pup! Dont panic it may sound complicated but it isnt, your name is on the list , once the puppies are born i contact each person and inform them of the genders, colours of pups etc, inform you of the choice of pups you have, you then choose to secure the pup with a deposit and we decide on a viewing date that allows you to choose a pup in the correct order so no one looses there place on list or choice.

5.	What price are the puppies?
	The price of our puppies will be displayed along with the pictures of the puppies as soon as a litter becomes available . The price will includes the cost of the vaccine, a vet check - hearing, eyes, hips, herina's, teeth under bite,etc Ikc registration,microchipping, tail docking, de- worming, nuts and wheaning products so on... Collars,, food sample and starter puppy pack and guidelines will be given as well as life time support. Prices will be fair and will be set to cover costs only.

6.	Do you offer your male for stud?
	No I do not offer my male for stud as I feel that other breeders/owners haven't gotten the female adequately tested for breeding suitability. It is also my opinion that the over use of certain "Stud" dogs contribute to inbreeding ( breeding of related dogs) and that this in turn leads to genetic problems and illness. This does not apply to females that are suitable for breeding.

7.	Why are your boxer's good enough to be bred from?
	Firstly because they are healthy and to date have never been ill thank god. Secondly because they had adequate testing to ensure their suitability for breeding. Thirdly because there bloodlines are not related or linked. I could also add because they come from good lines etc but i wont, their appearance bone structure shows this. I believe their temperment is of the utmost importance and also the past puppies health and temperment's proves this. However if the day comes where a problem of any sort does arise with my dogs or the pups then my adults will be spayed/castrated and kept as pets only. I do not show my dog's as it doesn't interest me to gain recognition in that way. However many of many pup's are having good success in the show ring.

8.	Can you be contacted about the puppies?
	Yes and an important aspect of purchasing one of my puppies is that you must agree to keep in touch with me and keep me informed of the puppies health in particular and of course i love to see some pics too. I also encourage buyers to get the pup vet checked by there own vet just to be certain for their own piece mind that the puppy is healthy. A written contract will be drawn up also. I can be contacted by phone/email at any time, as i always say to people it isnt until your at home with the puppy that you think of all the questions! The website was designed for that purpose also.

9.	What will i need to know before collecting the puppy?
	You will need to know what items to have purchased eg a crate,food bowls, puppy wormer, a bed, toys eg teething toys a kong & kong stuffing, a ball, a soft teddy, a collar, lead, harness, wee wee pads, the correct brand of food the puppy has been weaned on to, a secure garden, kennel for outdoor periods in case it rains, a way of carrying the pup in the car home, a towel or blanket for the journey. I also give a food sample, guidelines and care sheets, a vaccine cert and i go through them all in detail so the new owners know what vaccines and boosters are due, how much to feed the pup and how many times etc...

10.	What way do deposits for the puppies work?
	Deposits secure you puppy which gurantees that the puppy cannot be sold to some one else. Please note they are non refundable and that i do not accept deposits untill the puppies are born. I prefere bank drafts/postal orders sent via registered for better security, a min of €100 is required to secure a pup. Please do not send cash as it is un safe. Also please note that you should include your name, address, number and gender of puppy your placing deposit on to avoid confusion.

11.	What if i cant collect a puppy until a certain time but i have placed a deposit on the pup?
	We will look after the puppy until you can collect him/her. Please inform us of the choosen pet name etc so we can socialise the puppy a bit more until s/he goes to their new home. Note puppies will never be allowed to leave us until they are aged between 8 - 12weeks, never any younger and under no circumstances. If in the future you cant care for your boxer you purchased from BoxerLand Ireland - please return the pup/adult boxer to us.
